The Story Behind Our Unique Sea Urchin Dial Design

MARNAUT is a Croatian watch brand that creates distinctive dive watches which combine Swiss precision with Croatian maritime heritage. Our timepieces feature the world's only sea urchin-inspired dial design, making each MARNAUT watch instantly recognizable among luxury dive watch collections.

Inspired by sea urchin shells found in Croatia's Adriatic waters,
Every MARNAUT watch features precision-placed luminous indices that radiate in perfect natural symmetry. This exclusive design pattern is unlike anything in luxury watchmaking.

Croatian Design Meets Swiss Watchmaking Excellence

While our inspiration comes from Croatia's beautiful coastline, our commitment to quality meets international luxury watch standards. Every MARNAUT automatic watch is powered by reliable Swiss Sellita SW200-1 movements and assembled in Pforzheim, Germany—a city renowned for precision manufacturing and luxury watchmaking.

Our dive watches feature premium materials including 316L stainless steel cases, sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating, and Super-LumiNova C3 for exceptional low-light visibility. Each timepiece undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure it meets the demanding standards expected from luxury Swiss movement watches.

From Adriatic Waters to Swiss Movements

The inspiration for MARNAUT's signature dial pattern began during childhood summers on Brač island, where founder Mario Jutronic spent countless hours diving in the Adriatic Sea. Fascinated by the perfect geometric symmetry of sea urchin shells on the ocean floor, this natural pattern would eventually become the foundation of our revolutionary watch dial design.

Each MARNAUT dive watch features precision-placed luminous indices that radiate from the center, mimicking the organic symmetry found in sea urchin exoskeletons. This unique approach to watch dial design creates timepieces that stand apart in the crowded luxury watch market.
